Scenes of Punta Gorda

Today's update on PG.

There seems to be a steady breeze, but it still gets beastly hot here, especially when walking.

Bob on the end of the pier at the north end of town.

Not a sandy beach to be found like on the peninsula.

This Pastry Center appears to be off center.
Everything but fish or seafood.

Bob thought this might be a cool picture. If you look carefully there is a moon between the palm tree and the painting.

The painting is the sign for Rosewood Studios.

I asked the shop owner why there was sand in the doorways, he told me he sold it on the side.

It was closed, but then Dean has been gone for some time now.

Tracy will appreciate the James Bus Line Depot. It is actually one of the nicest depots that we have found in Belize.

This guy is driving in the wrong country.

This is Hannah. She is eight years old and lives with her grandmother who runs the MirA Mar Cafe and Bar. Hannah is very talkative and outgoing. She makes regular trips to Washington to visit her uncle and cousins. She asked to have her picture taken and she was told more would be taken if she changed her clothes and did her homework.

It took her less than a minute to change her clothes and we think the homework was out the window.

Time to head back to the room and get changed for dinner, more tomorrow.
