We spent the night in the third floor bedroom, huddled together wondering if the roof was going to stay on or if the whole third floor was going to go. We did not get any sleep at all, most of the time we were too busy watching the lightning. What an awesome show we had. Sometimes the thunder and the lightning happened at the same time, it was so very close.
Below are some pictures of the aftermath of the Arthur in our yard and the street outside our yard.
Broken branches from the almond tree beside the steps
Flooded garden and yard
Walkway at the bottom of the stairs
The road heading towards the village
The road heading towards the airstrip
We were a little concerned about the airstrip, but things got back to normal very quickly once the winds slowed down a little.
