First, you have some live lobsters delivered to your door.
Second, you frantically Google for the best (and most humane) way to kill them. Agreement seems to head in the direction of putting them in the freezer where the inner core of their body is cooled to the point where they feel no pain. So that is what we did, put them all in the freezer.
Third, make sure you have a nice bottle of wine chilled in the fridge.
Once that is done, you deserve a reward. Cocktails on the back deck catching some afternoon sun usually works for us.
After cocktails, you need to prepare the grill and get the coals just perfect, then you can put the prepared lobsters on.
